Edgar Allan Poe, “The Narrative of Arthur Gordon Pym of Nantucket”

On Wednesday, October 19th, we will begin to discuss the extraordinary only novel of Edgar Allan Poe, The Narrative of Arthur Gordon Pym of Nantucket. 

Please do the following by Wednesday:

  1. Read the Preface and Chapters 1-4 for Wednesday. The text is in the public domain and is available online at these websites:

  2. Either print out the assigned reading for each day, or bring your laptop or other device to class with the electronic version available.  Bring to class a marked up hard copy, or notes to refer to with the electronic version.
